ibiana Contest Rules

Official Game Rules & How to Play

1. The main riddle (and hints) point to a virtual location somewhere in the U.S.

2. 1 guess per day allowed (2 guesses per day for ibiana+ subscribers)

3. To make a guess, record a short video identifying where you believe the virtual treasure is hidden. Instead of "here's my guess," or "this is where I think it is", simply identify where you are guessing.

For example, "I think the virtual treasure is located..." and then state where that location is.

In addition to providing a video, submit GPS coordinates and our team will review your guess. If you are the first person to guess the treasure location within a 50 foot radius—or 100 foot radius for ibiana+ accounts—then you’ll be crowned victorious and earn the current prize value!

**Guesses that might be correct, but fail to state where the virtual treasure is located in the guess video WILL NOT be declared the winner.

4. You can debate with others in the community discussion tab.

5. You can add Allies to play with you and earn the "Ally Bonus" found on our Referral Page.

6. The prize will increase once per day and will go up when: 

- Every day the treasure goes missing.

- For every new player that joins the Quest.

- Profit sharing from ibiana revenues - so watch those ads or sign up to ibiana+

Official LEGAL Contest Rules

1. No purchase necessary to enter or win the contest ("Quest"). 

2. You must be 18 years of age (or older) and be a U.S. legal resident to play.

3. Only one (1) account per person is allowed.

4. The Quest objective is to be the first to identify the location of the hidden virtual treasure, based on geographic coordinates, or "location".

5. Each Quest begins at $5,000 USD, but will have a different monetary value at the conclusion of each Quest. The Quest will increase in value as follows:

- Every day the treasure goes missing.

- For every new player that joins the Quest.

- Profit sharing from ibiana revenues.

6. To submit your guess, and therefore "play" our contest, you must submit a short 5-30 second video stating where you believe the virtual treasure is hidden. Instead of "here's my guess", or "this is where I think it is", simply identify where you are guessing.

In addition to providing a video, submit GPS coordinates and our team will review your guess. If you are the first person to guess the treasure location within a 50 foot radius—or 100 foot radius for ibiana+ accounts—then you’ll be crowned victorious and earn the current prize value!

7. While every guess is judged by a manual review from the ibiana team, the correct GPS coordinates are only accessible by the Quest Master and are "locked", meaning they cannot be changed, once the game has begun. 

8. Winners will be determined following the manual review and then each prize will be distributed to the winner within a reasonable time following the conclusion of a Quest, typically within 7 - 10 business days. Winners will be required to provide personal information for tax purposes (e.g. social security number, date of birth) and provide a W-9 to account for winnings with the IRS. Each winner will receive a 1099 from CompuTune, Inc dba ibiana at the beginning of the following year for tax purposes.

9. Should a winner not respond to the ibiana team within 14 calendar days after they have been declared the winner, or provide the required information to collect their winnings, that player will forfeit all winnings from that Quest. 

10. By participating in a Quest and accepting a prize, winners grant us the right to use their name, likeness, and submitted content for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Winners will be announced publicly, and reside on our Hall of Fame page.

11. You must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations while participating in our Quest or claiming any prizes or awards. 

12. ibiana employees and immediate family members, or members of the same household, are prohibited from playing. 

13. Players must always follow our Rule & Community Guidelines as found on our Terms of Use page.

14. All content provided from players during a Quest, including but not limited to, designs, text, graphics, images, video, information , software, audio and other files, and their selection and arrangement (collectively, "ibiana Content"), are the proprietary property of ibiana and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. 15. By submitting, uploading, or otherwise providing any user-generated content, including but not limited to videos, images, text, and other materials (collectively, "User Content") to the ibiana app, you grant ibiana and its affiliates a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, perform, and otherwise exploit your User Content in connection with the ibiana app and ibiana's (and its affiliates') business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the ibiana app (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels now known or hereafter developed. You also grant each user of the ibiana app a non-exclusive license to access your User Content through the ibiana app and to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform such User Content as permitted through the functionality of the ibiana app and under these terms and conditions. More information about our User-Generated Content policies can be found on our Terms of Use page.

16. ibiana contest and sweepstakes ("Quests") are solely sponsored by CompuTune, Inc. dba ibiana and are NOT affiliated, sponsored, promoted, associated with, or aligned in any way with any 3rd party platform or company, such as Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, or any other 3rd party platform or company. All prizes and winnings are supplied solely from CompuTune, Inc. dba ibiana.
